GENERAL BOOKING AND CANCELLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND HOTEL REGULATIONS

For the accommodation facilities of Hotelli Jämsä and furnished apartments

These terms and conditions apply to accommodation bookings, unless otherwise agreed. These terms and conditions also apply to accommodation bookings made via the Internet through Hotelli Jämsä’s website.

1. BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION

When booking accommodation, you will need to provide your name, residential address, arrival and departure times and payment method. The hotel is bound by the booking once it has been confirmed verbally, in writing, by e-mail or other means, and once you have received a confirmation number. The hotel may set conditions for the booking to be binding, such as rules, payment of the booking fee or confirmation of the booking by credit card. Hotelli Jämsä has the right to charge the full amount of the booking in advance immediately after confirmation.

2. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

The room will be available for your use at 16:00 on the day of arrival, and you must vacate the room by 11:00 on the day of departure. Time Hostel may have different check-in and check-out times. For security reasons, only staff and persons who have been checked into the hotel will be admitted to hotel rooms and other booked premises, since the maximum number of persons permitted per room and per area may not be exceeded. Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, or unless other terms and conditions apply to the price or dates you have chosen, the room will be reserved for you until 18:00 on the arrival date indicated on the booking. If you arrive after this time, you must confirm your late arrival by credit card or other agreed means. Otherwise, the hotel may rebook the room. If you arrive in accordance with the hotel arrival times and the room you have booked is not available, the hotel will be obliged to find the nearest room of an equivalent standard at no extra cost.

3. BOOKING GUARANTEE

An international credit card can be used to secure your booking. Hotelli Jämsä can hold a room for you after 18:00 as well without the need to inform the hotel of your late arrival. To do this, the hotel will need the following information from you: your full name, credit card number and expiry date, address, telephone number and email address. Hotelli Jämsä may request this information in writing or verbally.

4. CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW

Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, or unless other terms and conditions apply to the price or dates you have chosen, cancellation must be made at least 7 days before the check-in date, except in high season when cancellation must be made at least 30 days before the check-in date. In case of no-show, Hotelli Jämsä reserves the right to charge you the full price of the booking including taxes and any additional services related to the booking.

5. DEPARTURE BEFORE THE AGREED CHECK-OUT DATE

If you leave before the agreed check-out date, you must inform Hotelli Jämsä of your departure. If you have booked accommodation for more than one night, you must pay the agreed price for the unused accommodation days. Leaving before the agreed date may also result in a change in the total price of the accommodation.

6. FEES

Payment is made at the time of booking. The booking can also be paid in instalments by separate agreement.

If Hotelli Jämsä has not pre-authorised your credit card, Hotelli Jämsä has the right to charge the full amount of your booking upon check-in. Hotelli Jämsä accepts most major payment cards. However, Hotelli Jämsä is not obliged to accept foreign currency, coupons, cheques or payment cards unless the hotel itself has offered to do so. Hotelli Jämsä reserves the right to charge international credit card holders at the time of booking and to pre-authorise the credit card. As a prepayment, a booking fee determined by the hotel may be charged to the credit card at the time of booking, and the amount will be deducted from the final invoice. Hotelli Jämsä has the right to charge the full amount of the booking in advance immediately after confirmation.

7. PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDER

The payment service is provided by Paytrail Oyj (business ID: 2122839-7) in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the recipient of the payment on the bank statement or credit card invoice and forwards the payment to the seller. Paytrail Oyj is a licensed payment institution. In case of any complaints, please contact the product seller first.

Please note that Paytrail charges a payment surcharge (€1 – €2) corresponding to each payment method in addition to the purchase amount. In the event of cancellation, the payment surcharge will not be refunded.

8. REGULATIONS FOR THE CUSTOMERS

We follow good manners and regulations in our sites. Each property has its own regulations and all guests must follow them. In general, everyone must clean up after themselves, do their dishes and take out their rubbish. If you break these regulations, you may be immediately removed from the booked premises and may be liable for damages of up to €500. In this case you will still have to pay for your accommodation and any additional services you have booked and you cannot claim a refund of any payment already made. For security reasons, only persons who have checked in will be admitted to the rooms and other reserved areas. The maximum number of persons permitted per room and per area may not be exceeded. No business shall be conducted on the premises by admitting additional persons.

9. LIABILITY FOR THE CUSTOMERS’ PROPERTY

You are responsible for your own luggage. Hotelli Jämsä is not liable for any property belonging to the customer at the booked site. Hotelli Jämsä is not liable for any damage to or loss of vehicles in the parking area or the property inside the vehicles.
